September 22, 2008, San Bernardino, California - The Naval Facilities Engineering Command –Southwest awarded Allen Engineering Contractor, Inc. a contract for the Design Build Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC)-Northern California. The Northern California MACC program encompasses various Navy and Marine Corps installations throughout Northern California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. The estimated contract dollar value, including the base year and all options, for all contracts combined is $100M. Task orders will range between $1M and $3.5M in value. The MACC program provides the Navy with a select pool of preferred contractors which compete on task orders for facility construction, renovation and repair. This contract provided contracting personnel with a vehicle to award task orders quickly and easily. The project delivery method is typically design build.
